Spontaneity taken to a new level

Spontaneity taken to a new level – fed by a temperature and sore throat – isn’t that how all fabulous decisions are made?

A Lemsip a day, helps you work, rest but no play!

Was a week of mixed emotions. I got my karma for elbowing that man in the face last week, in the form of a small innocent looking evil child in the gym who managed to trip me up on my way to a combat class. Went flying sideways and twisted my ankle, little brat just looked at me! Managed to limp my way through combat.

I locked myself out of my house – been here 6 years so not bad going, had to negotiate safe return of my spare key which involved ingenious timing to intercept a train, get the right train, right platform, right carriage with no window for error! Jason Bourne eat your heart out! Thanks to Allison for saving my life!.

I finally laid an ex to rest – no I didn’t kill him but I pissed him off sufficiently enough to make sure he doesn’t come back. I blame my temperature for my public outburst against him on facebook. I certainly rattled his cage! Made me feel a lot better as I got it off my chest and got responses (from him included) which left me in no doubt that you should always trust your instincts and that I’m better off out of that one!  I wish him all the luck in the world.

Had 2 indecent proposals from 2 ex’s in one day, told them both what I thought of them. RIP Guildford scum! Hee hee. Actually I should have taken Steve up on his and then whipped my hair back n forth (a lot) at his place so to leave loads of long dark hair as evidence for his girlfriend! Took him 3 days to get the house hair free last time! (For the record we were both single at that time!)

Got a not so indecent proposal from one of my besties, a last minute all inclusive holiday to Turkey? Why not? I’m just hoping the new spontaneous me doesn’t get the old me into a lot of trouble (Think Bridget Jones (the sequel in the Thai Jail) or Sex & the City (The sequel getting arrested for shagging on the beach in Dubai!)

Anyway I’m off for some sun, sea, sand and sangria, will be phoneless and internetless eeeek!

Love you all, speak soon :) xx

Things I've learnt this week

So what have I learned this week? I’ve learnt not to make snap judgements on situations without getting my facts straight – ie making an assumption that the ambulance with the flashing lights which had pulled up outside KFC must be treating an overweight person possibly having a heart attack while eating his kfc meal deal. How embarrassing would that be? Worse still what if you were the person in the queue behind them and they collapsed?, would that put you off your order? Or would you step over them to order your family bucket? Lol!

Turned out it was a little old lady and she was ok but was still taken away by ambulance. I suppose at that age who cares how you go? As long as you were enjoying yourself at the time?

Secondly I learnt I really should slow down and watch where I’m going. I accidentally elbowed a man in the face on Friday lunchtime coming out of Iceland! Smack right across his cheekbone, luckily I missed his eye! In my defence I was trying to do my handbag up with one hand with my elbow in the air and trying not to drop my mp3 or my bag of shopping, and he did kinda walk hard into my elbow, he obviously wasn’t expecting it to be level with his face or for me to come out of the shop at that precise moment in time! My mate said I should have kneed him in the balls and kicked him in the face when he went down, after all if you’re gonna do these things you need to do them right! Otherwise he said I should have taken it as fate and jumped him! He was joking obviously!

Lesson learned people when walking past shops allow enough space for people to run out in front of you. (For the record I did apologise).

Thirdly I learnt that since leaving the wonderful world of SMS when sending Christmas cards to my ex boss and his family I have been calling both his wife and daughter by the wrong name! Only been five years, apparently it’s the highlight of their Christmas to see if this year I’ll get it right. Wouldn’t have been so bad but I got his name and his son’s name ok! I think I’ve been forgiven they just assume I’m blond.  (Trigger from only fools eat your heart out!)

Saturday night I attended a surprise 40th birthday party for my friend Sharon, we call her Dangerous because whenever we go out someone gets injured (not badly, usually only requires a plaster, apart from the time she knocked my contact lense right out of
eye!). Was a good night, dressed up as a nurse to serenade her as she came in, had pics taken then got my party frock on to dance the night away.

Sunday drove to Kent to see my sister as she had some friends over for a bbq. This included a man they had tried to set me up with a few years ago, strange how he’s not so bad now! (I must be getting desperate!). Also a cheeky nearly 2 year old made me realise how awesome it would be to have a baby – purely to cause absolute chaos in my sister’s immaculate house! I watched the little girl eat choc cake and get it all over her face and encouraged her to go inside towards the white sofa! I have an evil streak don’t you know!

So that’s it for now, let me know how your weeks been and what you’ve been up to (On my new FB page!)

Love ya J xx

Spontaneity of Singledom

Well I have to say peeps I’ve definitely turned a corner this weekend. I think all the text messages with random facts that I received on Thursday really helped. I had forgotten how many wonderful and caring friends I had in my life and somehow it made me realise that men may come and go but you guys are forever!

I also learnt a few things, some historical, some hysterical, and ofcause some people had to lower the tone but I expect nothing less! Made me giggle and cheered me right up.

I had a surreal weekend, Friday night was out for dinner with my mate Dean, who was lovely and made me laugh. He is also the only person who got to meet John so could give me an honest opinion about the whole thing. In a nutshell think I’m better off out of that one! He also lent me a book called Shantaram – 930 pages true life story (should see me through the summer!). Am finding it very inspirational, lots of references to India and the culture there which is interesting.

Saturday was an easy work day and I got to go home at 3.45 – whoop whoop!

Had a spontaneous night out with one of my besties, was feeling very confident and flirty – even the discovery of a white pubic hair earlier in the day didn’t dampen my mood! I pulled a 28 yr old from Portsmouth out on a stag dooo. Bless him he even showed up at Bar Med at the end of the night and asked me back to his hotel! Said he’d make me breakfast in the morning. I didn’t go though - had sobered up a bit by then! All I could think was I don’t want sex & breakfast, I’d rather have a chicken burger n chips and my own bed tonight!

This could also have had something to do with the fact I'd bumped into a 40 yr old eligible bachelor on the way to Bar Med, who even though on my facebook I've never really spoken to on there. I hadn't really paid any attention to him previously mainly because he really liked one of my friends, but as she's no longer a friend (of mine or his incidently) that barrier  including the passage of time was all the encouragement I needed!

He told me my fb status’ are legendary! I was really chuffed and may be a bit drunk cos I quite fancied him even though he is blonde!

All in all a pretty awesome weekend! Spontaneity at its best!
Quote of the weekend was “He’s a bit white isn’t he?” (Thank you to my bestie for making me laugh).
